The Contortionist announce dates with Revocation, Fallujah and Toothgrinder

NEW YORK – METALSUCKS and THE CONTORTIONIST have announced a heavy hitting headline run with notable acts REVOCATION, FALLUJAH and TOOTHGRINDER in support. Dates will start on February 7th in their hometown of Indianapolis and wrap up in Newport, KY on February 28th after covering much of the eastern half of the U.S.  “We’re excited to hit the road with all these amazing bands and play a ton of epic shows,” says vocalist Mike Lessard. “We couldn’t think of a better way to start our 2015!”

The Contortionist recently debuted a brand new music video for their widely popular single “Primordial Sound,” exclusively through NOISEY MUSIC.

Primordial Sound was Corey Norman’s second directorial effort for the band and depicts the band in an ultra minimalist, stripped down state. Norman also directed “Language I: Intuition” released earlier this year. Watch that here.

The Contortionist released Language in September to some high critical acclaims. Popular alternative weekly The Aquarian says the LP “keeps up with this idea of call and response between spacey ambient melodies and heavy-hitting metal tunes all the way through its 48-minute run.” Outburn Magazine calls it “a richly layered, atmospheric, and evocative record” and Substream Magazine goes as far to say that “What The Contortionist has given us isn’t space travel but a journey through a dream state.” in their 5/5 review.

The band just wrapped up a highly successful run with PROTEST THE HERO in Europe. Click here for all tour dates.
