I’ve been listening to Iron Maiden from the beginning, with the self-title debut album that was released in 1980. I was twelve years old at the time. I spent a lot of time drawing Eddie on my textbooks and many school desktops. During this time, I had the privilege of seeing Maiden live several times, starting with The Beast on the Road Tour in ’82 and every tour after that through the Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour in ’88. Then college, jobs, and other of life’s random obstacles prevented me from seeing them until the band made their rounds again, this time stopping in my current hometown of Kansas City. Iron Maiden has been restlessly touring in support of their sixteenth studio album, The Book of Souls, which was released in 2015. Check out the photos from the Book of Souls Tour 2017 below!
