March 4, 2015, Philadelphia – Torche, who kick off their North American tour this evening in the band’s Miami hometown, celebrate their highest charting album to date with Restarter landing in the Top 10 on a variety of Billboard charts including #2 on Heatseekers. The album sold slightly over 5,000 copies its first week of release.

The full Billboard chart positions for the band’s Relapse Records’ debut include #133 on the Top 200, #61 on Top Albums, #56 on Current Albums, #12 on Independent Current Albums, #10 on Hard Music Albums and #8 on Current Hard Music Albums.

“We’re all beyond stoked the record is doing so well,” said the band. “Can’t thank everyone enough who has supported the band over the years. It means everything to us.”

Entertainment Weekly recently wrote of the new offering: “…gloriously fuzzy, sludgy, hard-hitting fourth album from four of loud rock’s most adroit genre-benders” while Pitchfork said “Torche have made their most compelling record since Meanderthal.” The Chicago Tribune commented: “Torche’s music connects muscle, songcraft and drive in a way that few bands of recent vintage can match” and the Washington Post added “the heaviness is almost otherworldly on Torche’s fourth album.”
