With his new album, ‘Scaling Up’, Swedish musician Kee Marcello is using his past as a springboard to take a giant leap into the future. With his new music firmly grounded in the songwriting tradition that made him a multi-platinum rock star in the first place, Kee explores the boundaries of Melodic Hard Rock with contemporary performances and a cracking production. This is an album his fans will crave.

Conceived and written in the winter/spring of 2016, ‘Scaling Up’ encompasses all the influences and genres in which Kee has been involved since the outset of his career. Aside from the obvious resemblances to the classic sound of Europe (in particular the ‘Prisoners Of Paradise’ album, from which he took two original demos, ‘Wild Child’ and ‘Don’t Know How To Love’, re-recording them from scratch), he also nods to his past experience in Easy Action, resulting in a touch of Sleaze and a more classic Hard Rock approach on songs such as ‘Fix Me’, ‘Blow By Blow’ and ‘Soldier Down’.

Kee Marcello is one of the most renowned Scandiavian musicians, with an amazing track record. He is best known as the guitarist in Europe from 1986 to 1992, a period when the group were one of the biggest rock bands in the world. They sold over 30 million albums, landed no 1’s on the sales charts of 26 countries and shared the biggest stages with the likes of Metallica, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi. Kee is now enjoying a new wave of success, both with his music and as a TV personality in his native Sweden.

About Author

I'm a 40+ music fan. Fond mostly of rock and metal - my staple musical food delights. Originally from Northern Ireland, I am now based in the UK-Manchester. I have a hectic musical existence with regular shows and interviews. Been writing freelance for five years now with several international websites. Passionate about what I do, I have been fortunate already to interview many of my all-time musical heroes. My music passion was first created by seeing Status Quo at the tender age of 15. While I still am passionate about my rock and metal, I have found that with age my taste has diversified so that now I am actually dipping into different musical genres and styles for the first time.
