Femme Fatale: June 2016 – MEMPHIS MONROE

Thank you for being a part of the AntiHero Magazine Femme Fatale feature! It is an honor to feature such a badass pinup legend! Please tell our readers that may not know you a little bit about yourself.

I appreciate you doing a feature on me! Something people may not know about me is that I love guns and shooting for sport! It’s a passion of mine I’ve had for many years!

What first got you into pinup modeling?

Oh, many moons ago! I have always dressed in vintage/ retro clothing. So it kind of evolved from there. I’ve been doing magazines for 5 years!

We all know that the pinup genre and rockabilly genre go hand in hand. Who are some of your favorite artists/bands inside and outside the genre?

I adore Reverend Horton Heat inside the rockabilly scene. My favorite artists/band outside are the Rolling Stones! They have such amazing influences from the beginning like Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters! That’s good shit!

How do these bands/artists help you prepare for your photo shoots?

I wouldn’t say they help me, but jamming to them while doing a shoot makes it quite a bit more enjoyable!

Recently you’ve decided to go beyond the pinup genre with your modeling career, is there any other surprises or plans we can expect to see unfold in the future?

I would love to get into the horror and tattoo modeling scene. It is very intriguing! That type of modeling is such an art form in itself on both the model’s and photographer’s end.
